3 IT firms to create 1,500 jobs in AP

Hyderabad, Aug. 11: Three IT companies are setting up their offices in the state. The Unit Approval Committee, which met here, has approved the proposals and accorded permission to the companies to set up their offices in different IT SEZs.

Konylabs IT Services Private Limited will set up its office in Phoenix Info City Limited at Hyderabad. The company has agreed to take 94,500 sq. ft. of office space and will employ 898 people.

Zensar Technologies Limited will set up its office in DLF Cyber city SEZ in Hyderabad by taking 23,615 sq. ft. of office space. The company will initially provide 300 jobs.

Accenture Services Private Limited will set up their expansion unit at the Nanakramguda TSI IT SEZ. The company will occupy 35,756 sq. ft. of office space and give jobs to 350 people in the first year.

The IT department is particularly happy with the renewed hiring activity and increased annual recruitment figures of the companies. "It seems, the recession failed to touch the AP IT companies. The filling up of IT space is proving this," said Ms Ratnaprabha, the principal secretary, IT department. Source: DC 12/8/10

Permission for 3 new industries in IT SEZ's

Hyderabad: According to Principal Secretary K. Ratna Prabha, who heads the ICT department in the State Government, Board of Approval (BoA) has issued permissions for new companies to start their operations in three special economic zones in Rangareddy district. Accordingly, Sumera Technologies will commence its operations in Uppal NSL SEZ, Identities tech solutions will commence its operations in mamidipalli indutech zone and IBM India will commence its operations in Rayadurgam Divyasri NSL SEZ in Hyderabad.
