MHADA forms submission date extended further

Looking at the high number of forms that have been sold for the 3863 Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) tenements till date, the Mumbai Board meeting of MHADA concluded with the decision of extending the date for the submission of forms on Friday.

Speaking to FPJ Amarjeet Singh Manhas, Chairman of Mumbai board MHADA, said, “The decision of the extension of the date was taken in order to help the public who want to submit their forms.

The people who wish to submit the form. Hence the date has been extended.” The issue of the software that will be used for the draw was also discussed in the meeting.

Speaking about the same Manhas said, “The software that will be used for the draw is approved by the National Institute of Industrial Engineer(NIIG) and it has been also certified by TCS. The it professionals from VJTI will also test the software.”

In the meeting it was also discussed that draw will be taken out in 90 days. But in case if the date extends due to the elections then MHADA may give interest to the applicants on their money which is deposited with MHADA.

However, the decision of MHADA to extend the dates of buying and submission of forms will only increase the number of applicants but the tenements remain will remain the same.

Earlier, the time period for sale of forms was from 12th January 2009 to 30th January 2009 and the date of submission was from 13th January 2009 to 31st January 2009 respectively which was later extended 6th February 2009 and the last date of submission of form was 7t Feb. 2009.

The number of forms sold and submitted on Friday is 2,761 and 38,935 respectively. The total number of forms sold till date is 7,55,793 and those submitted till date is 3,77,819 respectively.
