Tata Housing Signs Dual MoUs With Assam Government

Tata Housing Development Company (THDCL), signed two MoUs with the Assam government to create commercial developments in the state, as per a press release. The first MoU has been signed between THDCL and The Department of Industries and Commerce of Assam for the development of commercial space, including business parks and IT buildings in the state. The second MoU has been signed with the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) for building a township and other infrastructure projects under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model within the state, according to the release.

Citi Deal To Help Apollo Develop Real Estate Portfolio In India

Global private equity house Apollo Management LP is planning to assume control of about seven to eight investments of Citi Property Investors (CPI) in India, on which it is currently holding due diligence. Apollo is in advanced negotiations to undertake Citigroup's real estate unit, CPI, with assets worth over $12.5 billion under management globally. In India, this would possibly see some of CPI's key investments passing over to Apollo giving the latter a fairly well-spread real estate portfolio to start with.
